Media and Communication Committee – Role and Responsibilities
The Media and Communication Committee of CATCA plays a vital role in enhancing communication, promoting transparency, and strengthening community engagement through effective use of media and digital platforms. The committee ensures that CATCA’s mission, events, and spiritual activities are communicated clearly, consistently, and professionally to all members and the broader community.
Purpose:
The committee’s primary purpose is to manage all aspects of internal and external communication, public relations, and digital media presence in alignment with CATCA’s faith-based values and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Communication and Information Sharing:
• Develop and implement a communication strategy to keep members informed about upcoming events, programs, and announcements.
• Coordinate the release of newsletters, email updates, and event reminders.
• Ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging across all communication channels.
2. Media Coverage and Event Support:
• Provide media coverage for all CATCA events, including Mass celebrations, cultural programs, and charity activities.
• Capture photographs and videos of major events for archival and promotional purposes.
• Collaborate with the Cultural and Liturgy Committees to document and share key moments that reflect CATCA’s mission.
3. Digital and Social Media Management:
• Manage CATCA’s official social media platforms, website, and online groups.
• Create and post engaging, faith-centered, and culturally relevant content.
• Promote events, announcements, and reflections that foster community involvement.
• Ensure all online content reflects CATCA’s Christian values, integrity, and respect for members’ privacy.
4. Design and Publication:
• Design flyers, banners, invitations, and other visual materials for CATCA events.
• Support publication of event souvenirs, newsletters, or annual reports.
• Maintain a consistent and professional visual identity for all materials.
5. Media Archiving and Record Keeping:
• Maintain a digital archive of photos, videos, and communication materials for future reference and historical preservation.
• Collaborate with the IT or Records Committee to store files securely and ensure accessibility.
6. Public Relations and Community Outreach:
• Serve as the liaison between CATCA and external media or partner organizations.
• Represent CATCA’s activities positively in public and faith-based forums.
• Highlight community service, charity, and cultural activities that reflect the organization’s commitment to faith and social good.
7. Technical Support:
• Assist with audio-visual and live-streaming needs during Masses, cultural shows, and special celebrations.
• Ensure quality sound, lighting, and presentation for all public programs.
