It is with great joy and gratitude that I share this message with all the members and friends of the Catholic Area Tamil Community Association (CATCA). Our community has been richly blessed to have a vibrant gathering of Tamil-speaking faithful here in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area — united by our shared faith, culture, and the love of Christ.
The Church, in her wisdom and compassion, embraces every culture and language as a reflection of the richness of God’s creation. Through CATCA, we celebrate our Tamil heritage while deepening our Catholic faith. Our liturgies, prayers, and gatherings are moments where heaven and home meet — where faith becomes alive in our mother tongue and traditions.
Here in the D.C. area, the Church continues to serve the Tamil community as a spiritual home where all are welcome — families, children, youth, and elders alike. Together, we strive to grow in holiness, support one another in times of need, and bring the light of Christ to those around us.
Let us continue to build a community rooted in faith, strengthened by love, and inspired by service. May our prayers and efforts bear fruit in unity and peace, drawing us closer to God and to one another.
May the Blessed Mother, who guided her Son with a mother’s heart, intercede for our community and bless every home with joy, health, and faith.
