CATCA Rosary Group Committee – Role and Responsibilities
Purpose
The CATCA Rosary Group is formed to promote daily prayer of the Holy Rosary and to deepen devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary within the community. The group serves as a spiritual ministry dedicated to praying for personal intentions, families, the Church, and the world, especially during the Marian months of October and November, in remembrance of our Blessed Mother.
1. Mission Statement
To foster a spirit of prayer, unity, and faith by gathering daily to pray the Rosary, seeking the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary for peace, healing, and spiritual renewal within CATCA and the broader community.
2. Objectives
- To organize and lead daily Rosary prayers during October and November, honoring Mary’s call to prayer and reflection.
- To encourage families to participate in and host Rosary gatherings at home or online.
- To pray for the intentions of CATCA members, the Church, and the world.
- To cultivate Marian devotion as a source of strength, unity, and faith.
- To support CATCA’s spiritual mission through intercessory prayer and devotion.
3. Roles and Responsibilities
A. Rosary Group Coordinator / Lead
- Oversee the organization and scheduling of daily Rosary prayers.
- Maintain communication with host families or prayer leaders.
- Ensure prayers are conducted reverently and according to Catholic tradition.
- Represent the group at CATCA Evangelical Marian Committee or Executive Committee meetings.
- Prepare prayer intentions and announcements for each session.
B. Prayer Leaders / Rosary Leaders
- Lead the Rosary with devotion, maintaining the spiritual flow and participation of attendees.
- Encourage reflection on the Mysteries of the Rosary with short scriptural or spiritual insights.
- Ensure inclusivity and reverence in every gathering.
- Assist in coordinating prayers for special intentions or feast days.
C. Host Families / Participants
- Open their homes (or virtual spaces) to host the Rosary during October and November.
- Create a prayerful environment with a Marian statue, candles, or sacred images.
- Participate actively in the prayers and offer intentions for family, community, and world needs.
- Promote participation among other families and members of the community.
D. Communication and Outreach Coordinator
- Share daily or weekly Rosary schedules through CATCA communication channels.
- Promote awareness of the Rosary devotion during Marian months.
- Collaborate with the Media & Communications Committee to share prayer reflections, photos, or testimonies.
- Manage digital or virtual prayer links if sessions are held online.
E. Spiritual Advisor (optional)
- Offer spiritual guidance, reflections, or blessings during key Marian feast days.
- Support the group in deepening understanding of Marian devotion and intercessory prayer.
4. Membership
- Open to all CATCA members and families who wish to grow in Marian devotion and participate in communal prayer.
- Members are encouraged to take turns hosting, leading, or assisting with Rosary gatherings.
- Participation may be in-person or virtual, ensuring accessibility for all members.
5. Schedule and Activities
- Daily Rosary: Conducted every evening during October and November, honoring Mary and seeking her intercession.
- Special Feast Days: Highlight Marian feasts such as Our Lady of the Rosary (October 7) and the Presentation of Mary (November 21).
- Year-round Prayer Support: While October and November are the focus months, members are encouraged to pray the Rosary regularly throughout the year.
6. Collaboration
- Work closely with the Evangelical Marian Committee for joint spiritual initiatives.
- Coordinate with the Liturgy Committee for Marian Mass celebrations and processions.
- Participate in community events that reflect Marian devotion and evangelization.
7. Spiritual and Ethical Guidelines
- Maintain a prayerful, respectful, and inclusive environment at all gatherings.
- Ensure the Rosary remains centered on Jesus Christ, guided by the example of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
- All members are called to live out Mary’s virtues of humility, faith, and service in daily life.
- Confidentiality must be maintained for all shared personal prayer intentions.
8. Reporting and Documentation
Maintain a yearly record of host families, intentions, and attendance for reference and continuity.
